Group Souls Pt 4 - The rich man and Lazarus

There was a certain {rich man}, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that [would come] from thence. (Luke 16:19)

Being already well versed in esoteric wisdom there is no particular need for us to provide you with a lengthy interpretation of the parable. Just simply, the separate places of the rich man and Lazarus are different states of conscious experience, or different planes of frequencies. The rich man, having lived an undesirable life, ended up confined within a plane in harmony to his own frequency. The fire of hell in this instance was the realization of Lazarus’ peace and harmony, which induced jealousy and anguish. No one was holding a torch under his bum. It was self induced anguish and resentment toward Lazarus. The “great gulf” is the borderline of the frequency which inhibits either one from entering the other’s realm. The rich man cannot ascend to this realm until all anguish and resentment has been purged from his spirit, or whatever astral body he may be in. In other words, he must raise his spiritual vibration in order to ascend.

Continuing with the diagram, we will for now, ignore the top box labeled “realms of the Overself”, which we will get into at a later time, but rather return to Henry and Betty. You will see that the evolution of Henry is slightly more advanced than that of Betty. By using the term more “advanced” we must be careful not to use it in an egotistical or condescending manner. The reason behind Henry’s advancement is simply that he has walked upon the spiritual path for a longer period of time than Betty. Perhaps in past life times she was too preoccupied with a household of screaming children which may well have distracted her from seeking out spiritual knowledge. Henry, on the other hand, may have lived as a priest for several life times. Perhaps when he starred in the “Ten Commandments” he may have gotten carried away with his roll.

There is no need to shed a tear for Betty as she is not thrown out to the dogs. Henry has made it his ambition to help her along life’s journey. You can see that their group souls are close in frequency and are actually linked to each other. There is no definite way of knowing when exactly this link occurred. The closer in frequency these groups exist the more likely they have a communication link between groups. It is more than likely that some time in the past both Henry and Betty had an attraction toward each other and had preplanned an incarnation together on earth. During this incarnation they had created a karmic link, so in one way or another, the two spirits will be forever linked.

The actual karma that links the two together is depended upon what kind of relationship the two had had. Was the relationship peaceful or full of turmoil? Should the relationship have consisted of too much turmoil then the karma that had been produced would have been too much on the negative. In this case, there would remain too many unresolved issues which need to be resolved, either in that life, or during the next incarnation. But resolved it must be. There are no ifs or buts. In a relationship situation that has gone sour, very intense and binding karma is usually created. Although it takes two to tango there is almost in all cases one more at fault than the other. Adultery in either a marriage or relationship is just about the worse culprit that can pop into the picture. It is just about one of the highest spiritual laws that one can break, and for this reason, and this reason only, was the penalty of death announced on the adulterer.
