Seeing that there is so much deception in the Church, especially the Catholic Church, what do you suggest people should do?
You must always follow your own conscience. It's not up to me to give advice. But I can say this much, regardless of how fallen the Church may be, Christ is still with the Church, especially the Catholic, perhaps more than with any other denomination, because it has maintained much of the original. Keep your devotion toward Christianity, remain humble and vigilant, knowing that those responsible will suffer the wrath of God when their time comes.
The Church is a two edged sword. It has brought misery to many, but it has also brought hope and comfort to many others. We should also bear in mind that Christ is allowing this to be. It has also been predicted. He himself stated: "Think not that I have come to bring peace to the earth, but a sword. I have come to turn a father against his son and a son against his father…" He stated that a house divided will fall. You cannot say that his promise has not come true. The many denominations all under the banner of Christ is certainly evidence of this.
I quote again the very serious allegation he brought against Jews by saying: "…you possess the keys to heaven and because you yourself do not wish to enter, you prevent others from entering within." As much as it was applicable then, it is very much applicable today. It was said that your Churches will turn into houses of darkness. You may say that Satan himself sits upon the throne of Vatican. He has always been there. To desert the Church after knowing this may not particularly be the correct line of action. In Revelation he empathizes "…those who endure."
But what could the Pope and the bishops, etc, possibly gain going against Christ? They obviously must not believe in him? If they did it would be just fool hardy to go against the Son of God.
Oh, they believe in Christ alright, but in a much different light as the common believer does, and they most certainly do not underestimate angelic and other divine entities that exist, many that are just quietly watching…waiting…as all runs according to a time. It is not proper to blame and discredit all the Popes that served office, as there have been many who were sincere, and that includes bishops. Besides the Pope, there exists a dark brotherhood that operates from behind the scenes and who may well be the real power behind Vatican. As much as there is a brotherhood of darkness there is also a brotherhood of light. This brotherhood of light once formed the "Inner Circle" within the Church. They do not exist within the Church today as they, throughout the preceding centuries, have either been eliminated or fallen to corruption. These spirits, masters of the wisdom, regularly used to incarnate into this "Inner Circle" until there were no more openings for them to incarnate into. The dark brotherhood themselves have divided, most incarnating into government seats of power. Governments are now supreme power, as the Church once used to be, and it is considered that the Church, as a seat of power, is no longer necessary from which to operate. This is why they are trying to establish the New World Order.
This New World Order has no particular need for a Church based authority. This dark brotherhood has no ambition to enter into the Kingdom of God but a desire to rule and enslave souls here on earth. They enjoy the power, comfort and prestige that accompanies such ruler ship. Due to the pacts they have with darkness they die and immediately reincarnate into prominent positions of power. They cannot have this prestige unless they can keep the cycle of life and death continuing in this world by deliberately entrapping unsuspecting souls to karma, guaranteeing a constant and unbroken cycle of life and death. Now you can better understand what Jesus meant by them "possessing the keys to heaven." They know the truth, they know what souls must do to gain everlasting life. To suit their own needs and desires they will always endeavor to entrap souls in slavery.
