Mayan Calendar Predictions for 2012

Convinced that the world will end on 21 December 2012 was fueled by the interpretation of recent events – including the mystical phenomenon of birds and fish are dying without any explanation and destructive floods in Australia and Brazil. Basically, the belief that he’ll end the world is based on an ancient Mayan prophecy.
The interpretation calendar Mayan year 2012 is assumed to be end-Mare ( Great Cycle ) – which will result in a cataclysmic disaster that would cause the apocalypse and would end life on this planet. If this prediction is indeed justified Maya, is a matter that requires serious reflection signs.

    Mayan Calendar forecasts
Historical records are evidence for history and the Maya civilization - especially the Mayans held knowledge about astronomy. They used the same knowledge to predict astronomical events related to various celestial bodies. Their knowledge about the solar system and predictions of celestial events – such as eclipses of the sun , is accurate, if not absolutely perfect.
In fact, the Mayans predict future celestial appearances – most of which have come true over time. These projections have led the Mayan people believe that the Mayan calendar predictions for 2012 about the end of the world will come true, and life on this planet will come to an abrupt end on 21 December 2012. But the Mayans never predicted the world will end in 2012 or is just one of many archaeological interpretation wrong?
    Forecasts for 2012 Mayan Calendar
Basically, the 2012 Mayan calendar predictions about the end of the world revolves around Long Count calendar, which plays an important role in Mayan culture. Long Count calendar was actually a schedule outlined “Great Cycle” – a period that lasted days 1872000 or 5125.37 years. This period of 5125.37 years was one-fifth of a full procession of the equinox – which lasted about 25,765 years.
Due to the amazing knowledge of astronomy and astronomical observations, the Mayans were able to identify the procession before the invention of technology equinox. Using the Long Count calendar, they failed to establish that this phase of the Great Cycle began on August 11, 3114 BC would end on 21 December 2012.
Mayans predicted that on December 21, 2012 would mark the end of this cycle – which is still repeated, and not the end of the world as it is believed. Therefore, all the myths about the Mayan calendar 2012 forecast due to erroneous interpretation of the Mayan prophecies. Simply, there is no record that the Mayan forecasts predict that 2012 marks the end of the world. It would be absurd to accuse one of the most advanced civilizations in the world for all the chaos that happens on the planet today.
Basically, confused about the end of the world in 2012 is one of many “tricks” that have been subjected for centuries. Over two years, everyone will laugh because he thought something like “Last Judgement” and all Conspiracy theorists will focus their attention on the imminent end of the world in 2060. 1. December 21, 2012 was hitherto regarded as the last day in the Mayan calendar and day and thus end the world. But scientists give us a window of a hundred years, ensuring that the calendar ends in 2116.

Bohm brothers, two German scientists have revealed a study published in the journal Astronomische Nachrichten, the date that is not the Mayan calendar ends in 2012, but in 2116. The two researchers ensure that previous calculations made by John Eric Sidney Thompson, a specialist of Maya civilization are not accurate.

Thompson made the adaptation period Maya civilization in the Christian calendar ignores the achievements of various cities and enemy tribes as 104 years have been forgotten.

In the study, was taken into account the different calendars used by the Maya civilization, the achievement by the brothers made their own calculations Bohm: a farm of 365 calendar days, a religious version of 260 days, one calendar day and a new cycle 1.872 million days.

To rewrite period Maya civilization, they compared these calendars and events concordantele of the Christian calendar.

This is not the first time on 21 December 2012 is modified by the researchers. For Gerardo Aldana, University of Santa Barbara, is really impossible to predict accurately the exact time and certainly when the Mayan calendar ends.
