Resurrection and Judgement

The most important doctrine in the Christian faith, as I understand it, is the doctrine of the Resurrection of the Dead.  How do you yourself regard this doctrine?

Well, actually, I do not consider the Resurrection of the Dead as the most crucial of the doctrines.  If we are to consider reincarnation as a truth then resurrection is a most frequent occurrence. Every time we die on the physical level we resurrect on a spiritual level. The resurrection would have been no mystery or major achievement for a master like Jesus.  He would have been born knowing the secrets of life and death.

If the Resurrection is not the most important doctrine that Jesus taught then what do you suggest is the most crucial of his teaching?

I believe the most crucial of his teaching is getting off the cycle of life and death.

But then we are entering into the realm of reincarnation.  Another doctrine denounced by the Church.

That it is.  The Bible has many references and allurements to reincarnation and predestination.  These references can hardly be dismissed and shrugged off without intelligent debate.  One of the clearest references in black and white, straight to the point, is that of John the Baptist being the return of Elijah.  Mind you, he wasn't called Elijah, but John, as much as the return of Jesus, when it happens, will not come known as Jesus, but by a new name as it is written in Revelation.  This 'new name' is very secret, known only to those chosen to know it.  We can further discuss reincarnation later and I will cite you some good references.  Where predestination is concerned it is evidenced in the Old Testament in a reference: "Before you were born, I knew you; and before you came out of your mother's womb, I consecrated you as a prophet over the nations."  Now, Predestination is a very important doctrine for the mystic.  This is better understood when put it into context with St. Paul's teaching of being citizens of heaven.

When we are referring to the Resurrection of the Dead we must not always take it literally.  Many things are written with the Duality in mind.  We have the spiritual aspect and we have the physical aspect.  When we refer to the Old and the New Testaments we must bear in mind it's twofold nature.  Consider the Old Testament as the physical element, the physical body of man, whereas the New Testament is the spiritual counterpart, or the spirit within the physical man.  When, Jesus, stated that the dead will hear my voice, he may not necessarily be referring to the physical dead but those he regards as spiritually dead.  For instance, take the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Bad as in Genesis, man was warned that should he eat from it, on that day he shall surely die.  This also is not referring to physical death, but spiritual death.

All incarnating spirits will eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Bad while journeying on the physical plane.  No spirit is exempted.  In this instance we all experience the innocence of Adam when he was first formed, guided only by the whispers of God in the garden, or our Guardian Angels influencing our consciousness, and as we grow older, influence our conscience.  In our early years the Tree offers little in the way of temptation as we are yet close to the abode of Light.  It is not until we venture forth from the comfort and innocence of our own little world, for instance, attending school for the first time, where we encounter and mix with other spirits, especially the older ones, the ones more seasoned, that we begin to be drawn more to the Tree and its fruits and are tempted to eat there off.  This influence that leads us to the fruits and the temptation to eat, is the all Temptress Eve.  The more we eat and enjoy the fruits of Good and Bad the more we die from our spiritual world and our spiritual selves.

There is another important point of interest we can ponder on and one that is often overlooked, and if noticed, little regarded.  This concerns a reference made by Jesus in regard to the three patriarchs known as Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  This was a time, I believe, when he was rebuking the ignorance of the Jews, saying: "have you not heard: I am the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  For God is the god of the living and not of the dead."  So you see, thousands of years after the death of these patriarchs they are still regarded as "living", as spirits in their realms, and God is their god, and not the god of the "dead", the spirits in the physical bodies deemed spiritually dead.  And we shall remain dead until we find within ourselves the power of the resurrection which will again illumine us with life.

Isn't this the same as the Christian Resurrection of the Dead?

No, this is not to which I refer, or the means by which the Christian understands and teaches it.  They believe that there is a set appointed time for this resurrection to occur, a time they regard as the Second Coming.   Within the scheme of the lower powers there is no general appointed time of resurrection governed by a God appointed Judgement.  The lower powers deal only with personal, individual resurrection and judgement.  For instance, the moment of a man's death is his resurrection, for this is the moment when dust returneth to dust and the spirit returneth to God who gave it.  Would you agree that this is the resurrection of the dead?

To my understanding, yes.

Exactly.  For man dies every day.  Theologians will argue that when a man dies he will be considered "asleep in Christ", and that he must await the resurrection which is accompanied with an appointed return of Christ.  This is very misleading.  But if this is what a man wishes to believe, this is fine.  Let him sleep.  He can do less harm.

You can understand that this planet, and the beings upon it, have passed through many different periods of judgement, such as earthquakes, floods, fires and storms, or any situation where there is much loss of life.  Is there really any difference in this destructive force compared to the destructive force assumedly appointed by God?  Regardless whether the destruction is personal, continental or global, man enters into his resurrection and judgement.  He returns to his Maker.

We may also regard that all things that happen upon this planet is in some way through the result of God's action, or Spirit, acting and reacting, through creative universal energies. So is there going to be a universal day of reckoning?  The wrath of God?  Maybe.  Who knows?  It is not important as ones personal reckoning will come soon enough.

  1. Stamping Out Harold Camping

I don't care a fig for date-setters, especially those who predict when Christ will return. The current champion is 89-year-old, headline-grabbing Harold Camping of Family Radio fame.
Is Second Coming date-setter Harold Camping worthy of death? He already has a zero batting average after his September 1994 prediction fizzle and, according to the Bible, is a false prophet.
Nevertheless that California shaman, who should be ashamed, claims he's found out that Christ's return will be on May 21, 2011 even though Matt. 24:36 says that no one knows the "day" or "hour" of it!
A Google article ("Obama Fulfilling the Bible") points out that "Deut. 18:20-22 in the Old Testament requires the death penalty for false prophets."
The same article reveals that "Christians are commanded to ask God to send severe judgment on persons who commit and support the worst forms of evil (see I Cor. 5 and note 'taken away')."
Theologically radioactive Harold Camping and his ga-ga groupies (with their billboards featuring "May 21, 2011") should worry about being "stamped out" if many persons decide to follow the I Cor. 5 command.
The above article concludes: "False prophets in the OT were stoned to death. Today they are just stoned!"
PS - For many years Camping was not known as a pretrib rapture teacher. But now, for $ome my$teriou$ rea$on, he seeks support from those who believe in and teach an imminent, pretrib rapture which supposedly will occur SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE the traditional SECOND COMING to earth! For a behind-the-scenes, documented look at the 181-year-old pretrib rapture belief (which was never a part of any official theology or organized church before 1830!), Google "Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty," "Pretrib Rapture Diehards" and "Pretrib Rapture - Hidden Facts." These are from the pen of journalist/historian Dave MacPherson a.k.a the "Pretrib Rapture Answerman" & the "Rush Limbaugh of the Rapture" - author of the bestselling book "The Rapture Plot," an "encyclopedia" of pretrib rapture history (see Armageddon Books).

  2. Thank you for your input. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I have never heard of the character of whom you write…America, I suppose? Isn't America teeming with crackpot prophets and cults of all descriptions? The appearance of these false prophets has long been predicted. Paul himself stated to test the spirits to see whether they are from God for many have been falsely inspired. The method of testing, as Paul advised, today is not particularly relevant as these miscreant spirits do not fear mocking God. There are some prophets who may be innocent in their false predictions as they sincerely believe the force communicating with them is an Angel of Light, for evil itself masquerades as one.

But yes, once a prophecy has been proved false, that prophet who made it should feel the tip of a steel capped boot and shown the door. Whether such a false prophet should be stoned to death, well, I prefer to leave that to God.
